The Distraction of Shiny Things
If you’ve been doing a whole lot of pivoting lately, it’s time to pause for a moment and look at the underlying reason why. Maybe your flight plan isn’t very well constructed, and you’ve found yourself gliding around aimlessly, unsure of where to go next. Or worse, maybe you’ve been getting distracted by the allure of too many glittery options, most of which aren’t what you truly desire. Maybe you’ve been flapping around like a silly goose and wasting all sorts of energy… only to arrive right back at the same spot that you took off from.
It’s time to listen to the cues of your heart, and make sure that you are following its quiet song. You may find that you’ve been blindly bulldozing your way through an outmoded plan, regardless of what feels right to you, today. Make sure your actions are headed in the same direction as your joy, so that you can avoid flying into the headwind, and straight into fool’s gold that gets you nothing more than superficial glitter.
When you are growing your dream, it’s easy to get distracted by other people’s shiny lives.
You’ve got a big purpose. A mission. A whole big beautiful life to create. Stay the course, silly sparrow! Sometimes the path towards your desires will shift or sway as new information presents itself.
